LDC Lake District Creamery
We have just completed a fairly major electrical control and instrumentation installation for an Anaerobic Digestion Plant at the Lake District Creamery.
The largest Anaerobic Digestion Plant for a dairy in Europe, it uses waste residues from the cheese making process to generate biogas. This gas is then used to provide power for the production process. And any excess gas is exported to the national grid.
The works include a new Motor Control Centre (MCC) installation, cable containment and system supports, distribution cables, motor powering cabling, instrumental and control cabling.
It was an interesting and challenging project. And despite the severe weather and flooding that affected the whole of Cumbria this winter we finished on time and on budget.
